These fibres were all made in the same way, only different colours were used.

I used the Crosshatch Brush and brush variances.

Finally I applied the Unsharp Mask to make each fibre visible.

To make the rope I drew a diagonal line with the Round Brush, applied Blinds Texture effect, a bevel and a faint drop shadow.

To make each of the gingham ribbons I created a portion of the ribbon and made it tileable.

In this version of the ribbon I applied the Xenofex Flag Filter.
