Selective Adjustments : Marquee Selection
I used the Magic Wand to select the flower and the bud next to it;
Inverted the selection, adjusted the colour balance and colour contrast;
Inverted the selection, adjusted the colour of the flower and made it
a creamier colour (Sorry, but I have forgotten how I did that);
Merged all layers;
Clarified the photo; and
Applied the unsharp mask - the end result speaks for itself.
I clarified
the photograph;
I opened
a new layer, brightness and contrast and adjusted the background so
that it became more visible; and
I used the
eraser and erased that part of the the adjustment layer that was over
the flowers.
